Wet Strength Agent
Paper making additive Wet Strength Agent in paper industry
Wet Strength Agent is a water-soluble, cationic, thermosetting resin. It is suitable for the manufacture of various papers with wet strength. It is highly efficient, suitable for neutral paper making, easy to recycle or damage to paper or waste paper, and non-toxic. It can also be used as a retention aid for emulsion rosin and fortified rosin, a synergist for neutral sizing agents, and a cationic starch modifier to improve paper dimensional stability.
- Azfc® WS Series is a polyamideamine Epichlorohydrin resin based wet strength agent. It can react with the fibers in the dryer to form a thermosetting resin to increase the strength of the fibers.
- Azfc ® 2G Series is a water-soluble, cationic, thermosetting resin. It is a 2.5-generation product with low chloropropanol content and is suitable for manufacturing various wet-strength papers. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, suitable for neutral papermaking, easy recycling of damaged paper or waste paper, and non-toxic. It can also be used as a retention aid for emulsion rosin gum and reinforced rosin gum, a synergist for neutral sizing agents, and a cationic starch modifier to improve paper dimensional stability.

Application
- It has a wide range of application pH and is non-toxic, the best results are obtained with stock pH of 6.5-8. The treated paper can be used for food packaging, fruit bagging, medical and household paper.
- It can be added continuously using a metering pump, and intermittent addition can also be used. It is possible to use in-line dilution.
- The dosage rate is dependent on the desired wet strength level and the process conditions. The normal dosage is 5-60Kg of per ton paper, 0.05%-0.6% of dry pulp.
- The effect on the wet strength of paper is particularly obvious, and the dry strength can also be increased by 20%.
- Improve the water filterability of pulp and paper-making speed, and increase the retention rate of fillers, glue and microfibers.
